
Shrine & Parish of Mary Help of Christians – Upper Hill, Nairobi
The Shrine of Mary Help of Christians, a Catholic parish church under the Archdiocese of Nairobi, is situated in the Upper Hill area. The Shrine serves as a hub for spiritual growth, community service, and liturgical celebrations that welcome about 5000 adults, youth, teens and children weekly. It features vibrant ministries including catechesis, youth empowerment, adult spiritual programs, and initiatives supporting vulnerable populations. It was 24 Small Christian Communities, other aged-stratified groups: Catholic Men Association (CMA), Catholic Women Association (CWA), Young Catholic Adults (YCA): 27-35 years, Youth Serving Christ (YSC): 18-26 years, Missionary Youth Movement (MYM): 13-17 years, Pontifical Missionary Childhood (7-12), Sunday School (3-6 years).
The Shrine hosts a rich calendar of events, including Masses, retreats, novenas, and sacramental preparations, fostering a strong sense of faith and devotion among parishioners.
