Bosco Boys Kuwinda – Pre-novitiate Formation Centre
Following the aspirantate, Kenyan candidates for the Salesians of Don Bosco undertake a one-year pre-novitiate formation at Bosco Boys Kuwinda. This stage emphasizes human formation, particularly psychosocial growth, alongside intellectual and spiritual development. Aspirants learn to integrate prayer with work, including manual labor and apostolate activities.
A key feature of this phase is psychological assessment, enabling personalized accompaniment for each candidate’s psychosocial development. As they deepen their understanding of the Salesian charism and the mission of Don Bosco, candidates discern their vocation further. By the end of the year, they are invited to formally apply for admission to the Salesian Novitiate, marking their readiness for the next step in their formation journey.
