Don Bosco Utume –Theological Formation
Don Bosco Utume is the final phase of Salesian formation before priesthood, offering a comprehensive program of theological and pastoral training. The four-year program includes three years of theological studies culminating in an ecclesiastical degree from the Salesian Pontifical University (Università Pontificia Salesiana), and a year dedicated to pastoral formation.
During this phase, candidates undergo deep preparation for priestly life, integrating theological knowledge with the Salesian charism. The journey includes making their final profession, ordination as deacons in the third year, and priestly ordination in the fourth year. The program emphasizes the formation of Salesian priests who embody Don Bosco’s identity and mission. Parallelly, candidates pursuing the vocation of Salesian Brotherhood are offered specialized opportunities for specific formative studies tailored to their role.
