Don Bosco Kitale
Established in 2023 on 14 acres in Kiminini parish territory, Kitale is one of the newest Salesian centres in Kenya. The vibrant oratory and youth centre provide spiritual and recreational opportunities, while chaplaincy services extend to institutions like St. Bridget’s Girls School. The land’s potential supports agricultural activities, aligning with the Salesian tradition of self-sustaining initiatives, and complements an envisioned social empowerment project: avocado and macadamia tree distribution to youth.
This initiative promotes sustainable livelihoods while addressing environmental concerns such as soil erosion and carbon capture, aligning with the Salesian focus on integral ecology. Plans for cooperative development will further enhance the socio-economic impact, creating a model of holistic pastoral and environmental care.
