Good Shepherd Parish, Kakuma Town
Good Shepherd Parish, located in Kakuma Town, serves the pastoral needs of the Turkana community in Lodwar Diocese. In 2023, the parish came under the care of the Salesians of Don Bosco, who also manage a neighboring TVET school, and the parish and TVET centres within the refugee camp. Previously overseen by Fidei Donum priests from Eldoret Diocese, the parish has benefited from the Salesians' commitment to enhancing catechesis and pastoral care.
Despite being stretched, the Salesians diligently serve the parish's numerous rural outstations, addressing both spiritual and community needs. Their presence continues to strengthen the parish's mission in this remote region.
