Provincial Missionary Animation Commission
The Salesian Missionary Animation Commission plays a vital role in promoting and supporting the missionary impetus of the Salesians in Kenya. This commission is tasked with inspiring Salesians and coordinating efforts towards reaching out to those who have not heard the Gospel and to those at the periphery of the society.
In Kenya, the PMA Commission, together with the Youth Ministry Commission oversees initiatives aimed at animating the Salesian missionary spirit, including the formation and coordination of Salesian Missionary Volunteers (SMVs). .
Moreover, the commission helps facilitate the formation of Salesians and lay people in the local context, offering spiritual and practical training in missionary work and the Salesian way of life. It also coordinates the exchange of ideas and experiences with other provinces, ensuring that the missionary work in Kenya is aligned with the broader global Salesian mission, while adapting to local cultural and social realities.
